US automaker Chrysler has unveiled the 2014 Ram ProMaster commercial truck at the ongoing Chicago Auto Show.
The truck is powered by the 3 L I-4 EcoDiesel Pentastar V-6 engine paired to six-speed manual controlled transmission that generates an output of 280hp.
The truck is developed by the company in collaboration with Fiat based on its Ducato platform and is scheduled for launch by third quarter of 2013.
The truck is made available with multiple configurations and up-fit capabilities including two roof heights, three wheelbases and four body lengths.
In addition the truck's safety and security features include six air bags, standard and electronic stability control technologies.
Earlier, the manufacturer had started the production of Ram 2500 compressed natural gas (CNG) pickup trucks, which were powered by the 5.7-litre HEMI V-8 engines, at its Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant, Mexico, US.
