Korea Petrochemical Industry Company (KPIC) is operating its Onsan naphtha cracker at full capacity rates, a company official said.

Refuting media reports which mentioned that KPIC had reduced the operating rates to 75 percent, the official said, “We are running the naphtha cracker at 100 percent capacity rates.”

The naphtha cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 470,000 tons per annum.
